Justin Bieber was arrested in Canada Labor Day weekend for ‘dangerous driving and assault’ following a crash involving his ATV and a minivan.
The altercation occurred on Friday, August 29 in Perth County, Ontario after paparazzi were reportedly following the artist.
According to Ontario Provincial Police, the 20-year-old singer and an occupant of the minivan got into a “physical altercation” after the collision.
No injuries were reported in relation to the accident however injuries associated with the physical altercation are still unknown.
On Friday Justin was photographed enjoying the day and driving his ATV with on and off again girlfriend, Selena Gomez.
The couple looked exceptionally happy and appeared to be having an enjoyable time based on the photos taken from TMZ.
Bieber even let Gomez take over the wheel, wrapping his arms around the brunette beauty.
Unfortunately for the duo, Bieber and Gomez were “disrupted by the unwelcome presence of paparazzi.”
“This has regrettably resulted in charges of dangerous driving and assault,” Justin’s lawyer Brian H. Greenspan stated.
“Mr. Bieber and Ms. Gomez have fully cooperated in the police investigation. We are hopeful that this matter will be quickly resolved.”
Bieber, who turned himself in to the police on Monday, may have some bigger problems on his hands.
The “Baby” singer is on a 2-year probation for the egging of a house in Los Angeles.
As TMZ reported, this recent event may ‘trigger a violation’ for the superstar.
As of now Bieber is set to make an appearance in court on September 29.
