Beyonce is a marketing machine as we’ve now learned why the singer and her husband, Jay-Z, have kept quiet on their supposed “marriage crisis”.
Credible sources have alleged that the whole story with the couple wanting to get divorced over Jay’s cheating allegations was a huge publicity stunt for Bey and Jay to run with as they prepped for the ‘On the Run’ tour. No pun intended.
Rumors of Jay-Z’s cheating affairs came out just weeks before the tour was set to kick off and from what’s being said, Jay and Beyonce were the ones who made it all happen as part of their publicity stunt to promote their tickets for their concerts.
“They are driving interest for the tour,” an insider said. “If you look at the timing of these stories, I don’t think this is a coincidence. So then we had the elevator fight and since then the tour has been written about every single night and ticket sales have increased.”
Of course this would make all sense, especially when you look at the ticket pricing for these tickets. $60 and upwards for one person to catch Beyonce and Jay-Z in concert. And with the scandals coming out to the press, interest in the shows are increased by a mile.
When the Solange fight went down in May, Beyonce was quick to post up photos of her and her sister hugging it out and acting like everything was cool again — whether that may have been the case or not. But because she did this, we know that the story coming out of Solange attacking Jay bothered her.
So why did Beyonce never respond to the cheating allegations — why did her team never find the need to make it known that the stories were false. Why let supposed mistresses release viral videos claiming they slept with Jay-Z?
It’s a marketing campaign for the couple. And this is not a theory, it’s a fact! Having recently been confirmed that the tour has already grossed over $100 million in revenue, Beyonce and Jay-Z are the ones laughing all the way to the bank as their happy marriage has just bagged them a mind blowing paycheque.
“Once the tour is over, they will put a stop to these stories and show everything is fine at home,” the source ended their statement.
If true, this would have been one of the best publicity stunts in a very long time. Both parties went on tour last year so fans were probably not interested in seeing them again purely for the fact of the overpriced tickets but with the media attention, they quickly reacted by leaking false stories to the press.
Well, it was a great move after all.
