Rihanna is many things but disrespecting someone’s religion in their country is something she’s just not willing to do.
The Bajan-beauty covered up from top to bottom when she kicked off her Diamonds world tour in the Middle East city of Abu Dhabi, wearing an all-white outfit and a matching hat that seemed reasonable yet very odd for someone like Rihanna.
The law over there is obviously completely different than in places such as America or in Europe where you can get completely naked on stage and nobody would say anything. Matter of fact, let Miley Cyrus try that in the Middle East and watch her face jail time.
That’s one of the biggest things we respect about their culture; it’s no one’s business to see you boobs and butt out on stage – it’s not considered entertainment (at least no in the Middle East) and should anyone try doing something like that in public, they will punished.
Some parts in Abu Dhabi face REALLY strict laws like no kissing in public, no holding hands, no homosexuality allowed, among many others and while some of them seem pretty damn bizarre, you gotta live by their culture if you step foot in their country, right?
We should also mention that throughout the show, Rihanna changed up many of her bad words from her explicit songs, so the f-word she’d usually say during all her shows and all other words you’d consider as explicit, were taken out from every performance.
Rihanna’s cover-up in the Middle East came just one week after she mended things with her best friend Melissa Forde who she reportedly fired over an argument that left Forde being given a one-way flight back to her hometown, Barbados.
