The ever-so-sensitive Drake has dropped Future from his upcoming ‘Would You Like A Tour’ after some rude comments that the rapper made in the latest issue of Billboard didn’t sit too well with Drizzy.
Of course Drake is a perfectionist when it comes to his music so when someone that you consider a friend starts bashing you and your music, that’s when things are taken too far. Especially when it’s someone that’s the opening act for YOUR tour.
So here’s the sitch: Future recently sat down with Billboard magazine to promote his newest album, Honest, which we didn’t even know was coming out since there’s been very little promotion behind it.
Anyway, during his interview, he made some comments about Drake’s newest album, Nothing Was The Same, and how the Canadian-born makes hits but these songs don’t captivate a person by making you feel some kind of way about them.
Now the funny part about this story is that Future thinks his auto-tuned music has a bigger effect on his fans than what Drake has to offer, before continuing that having worked with Drizzy and a bunch of other rappers, Future is confident he has the best music out right now.
So, in the end Drake decided to drop Future from his tour and the rest was to be left as history but that wasn’t quite the case as Future is now reportedly filing a lawsuit against Drake for $1.5 million in damages.
Future would have made $40,000 per show and there were a total of 39 events booked for the tour. Add that up and you roughly get the amount that he is suing Drake for.
Erika Ramirez who works at Billboard tweeted the following:
Not only is future’s #honest album interesting, so are his thoughts on Drake’s #NWTS album. ‘Drake made an album that is full of hits but it doesn’t grab you. They’re not possessive; they don’t make you feel the way I do’ — Future.’
Meanwhile Future quickly went on to Twitter to say that his comments were misquoted, despite there being more than one reference of him saying his music is better than what Drake offers to his fans.
“Respect to Billboard, disappointed on being misquoted..always love for my fam Drizzy Drake.”
Drake didn’t believe it – he’s convinced that Future talked ish about him in the interview so he had to be removed from the tour. Simple!
Good move? Hell yeah – talk ish about us and you’re outta here within two seconds. Ain’t nobody got time for backstabbers who say they got your back and consider you the homie yet chat crap about you in interview.
P.S: Future, your music sucks.
