Why Does Emma Roberts Get A Pass For Abusive Behavior And Chris Brown Doesn’t?

Emma Roberts attended the Emmys after party with her boyfriend Evan Peters on Sunday evening, and yes it’s the same boyfriend she beat up which she later on got arrested for.

Here’s the problem we have with this issue. From what we’ve gathered through reports and police documents, Emma was really going nuts on her boyfriend by abusing him physically to a point where it was unsafe for him to be around her.

Though we would’ve never thought Emma Roberts – the sweet, innocent, average actress – would ever go to the extent where she becomes a danger towards the people around her, it happened.

So now she’s supposedly gotten her act together and everything’s back to normal between the two, her father says that she’s a good girl while refusing to answer whether she’s psychotic or not, because she clearly is.

But the even bigger issue is that we give people like Chris Brown such a hard time for their mistakes – in this case, the Rihanna beating – yet we allow Emma Roberts to simply get away with beating her own boyfriend up.

Now a woman beating a guy is clearly different than a man beating a woman seeing that their strength is (most of the time) different.

But when an insider says she became a danger to people around her whilst partying like crazy (downing alcohol, etc.) you realize that she must’ve been acting like a lunatic.

So she’s a young woman with A-list relatives which seems to have given her the pass to just get away with doing what she did, because let’s not forget that Chris Brown didn’t serve time in jail, but Emma did.

Chris was slapped with thousands of community service hours, Emma Roberts wasn’t. Chris received public humiliation still to this day, Emma continues to live her life as nothing happened and so does everyone around her.

You figure it out. Is it fair to give Chris Brown the slack for beating Rihanna FOUR YEARS ago while Emma Roberts’ incident was never ever mentioned of after she was released from jail.

Hi, my name is Merema. If learning about pop culture was a degree I could've studied when I decided to take on a three-year course at college, I would've probably had the highest grades in my class. But instead, I settled for a BA in Film and a Master's in Filmmaking.
