Brad Pitt is reportedly planning to retire after wrapping up his last three films he has signed on for. The actor is said to be wanting to spend more time with family and friends now that he’s reaching the age of fifty in December.
Having already received a lot of positive reviews for his latest movie 12 Years a Slave, Brad plans on getting the same kind of reaction with his next three follow-up films; Fury, Voyage of Time and The Counsellor.
With Angelina Jolie‘s mastectomy sitch and how the shocking revelation of the actress’ high chances of receiving breast cancer, made Brad realize how important family was.
He had been shooting scenes for several movies in the last 12 months and thinks that instead of acting in another role, he should’ve been at home with his family and taking things more easy, especially with the characters he portrays in flicks.
World War Z saw Brad Pitt travel around the world for months at a time which is obviously going to affect the children and Angelina. Several reports are claiming that Brad will definitely call it quits after these three movies, having already made his mind up.
Meanwhile, Brad Pitt also stopped by at the Toronto Film Festival on Friday evening to help promote his the slavery movie, which some have said has been his finest work to date. Pitt responded by saying:
“I just have to say, if I never get to participate in a film again, this is it for me. It was a privilege.”
As to how he looked and felt, UsMagazine added:
“Pitt wore his long hair pulled back in a pony tail for the event, and seemed in great spirits throughout the evening. When asked about the Oscar buzz on the red carpet he quipped, “They all deserve it, everyone of these performances is worthy.”
Well, if this is the end, we’re sure Brad Pitt will be going out with a big bang!
We do wish a really, really good director would come forward and approach Brad and Angelina with Mr & Mrs Smith 2. That would not only be a perfect sequel, but also the best way to close the chapter of his movie career, don’t you think?
What do you make of Brad’s retirement plans? Should be retire by fifty or should he carry on until his body is put in his grave?
